21 Covid-19 patients surface in State on Tuesday

The state health department reported 21 new cases of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) on Tuesday from Uttarakhand. The department also reported three recoveries and no death from the disease on the day.
The cumulative count of Covid-19 patients in the state is now at 3,44,385 while a total of 3,30,611 patients have recovered from the disease so far. A total of 7411 patients of the disease have so far died in the state. The recovery percentage from the disease is at 96 per cent while the sample positivity rate on Tuesday was 0.15 per cent.
The state health department reported six new patients from Dehradun, five new patients from Nainital, four from Champawat and two each from Pithoragarh and Udham Singh Nagar on Tuesday. One patient each was reported from Haridwar districts while no new patient was found in Bageshwar, Chamoli, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag, Tehri and Uttarkashi districts on the day.
The state now has 189 active cases of Covid-19. Nainital with 54 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Dehradun has 65 new cases of the disease. Uttarkashi has no active cases of the disease now. In the ongoing vaccination drive 70,981 people were vaccinated in 1177 sessions in the state held on Tuesday.
