21 dengue cases reported in Doon in past 3 days

Dehradun district reported a total of 21 new dengue cases over the past three days. On Wednesday, seven new positive cases were confirmed while nine cases had been reported on Monday and five, on Tuesday.
Informing this, the chief medical officer (CMO), Dehradun, Dr Manoj Kumar Sharma said that out of the seven new cases reported on Wednesday, three were identified at Graphic Era Hospital, two at Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital and one each at Government Doon Medical College (GDMC) Hospital and Subharti Hospital. This brings the cumulative total of confirmed dengue cases in the district to 403 with 195 cases originating from Dehradun and 208 cases from other districts and states.
Currently, there are 29 dengue patients receiving treatment. Among these, 12 are recuperating at Himalayan Hospital, nine at Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, seven at Graphic Era Hospital and one at Subharti Hospital. On Wednesday, health officials collected 282 dengue samples, increasing the cumulative number of samples tested to 21,576.
Additionally, on Wednesday, Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs) and volunteers from the Health department conducted 10,579 household surveys to check for mosquito larvae. During these surveys, larvae were found in 141 homes. To date, the Health Department has completed a total of 16,09,724 household surveys with 14,897 yielding positive results.
