The state health department reported 224 new cases of Covid -19 from different parts of the state on Sunday. Death of no patient from the disease was also reported on the day.
The authorities also declared 224 patients cured from the disease on the day. The department has so far detected 97,852 new cases of the disease from January 1 this year till date. A total of 92,441 patients have recovered from the disease so far in this year. The recovery percentage of the disease was at 95.47 per cent on sunday while the sample positivity rate was at 15.57.
The health department reported 173 new patients from Dehradun, 18 from Uttarkashi, eight from Nainital, six from Haridwar, four each from Almora, Pauri and Udham Singh Nagar, three from Tehri, two from Champawat and one each from Chamoli and Rudraprayag on Sunday. No new cases were reported from Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts on the day.
The number of active patients of Covid-19 increased to 1645 on Sunday. Dehradun with 1022 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Nainital has 232 active cases of the disease.
