236 roads remain blocked across State

Apart from some spells of moderate rainfall in various parts, the State has largely been spared of rough weather during the past couple of days. However, at least 236 roads were reported to be blocked in various parts of the State on Tuesday.
According to the State Emergency Operations Centre (SEOC), the national highway to Yamunotri remained blocked due to debris/boulders at Dabarkot in Uttarkashi district. One national highway and 28 rural motor roads were also reported to be blocked in the district. One State highway, one main district road and 10 rural motor roads were blocked in Tehri district. The Rishikesh-Badrinath national highway was blocked to traffic due to a 100-metre stretch being washed out near Kameda in Chamoli district. One national highway and 35 rural motor roads were reported to be blocked in the district.
One rural motor road was blocked in Almora district, one State highway and four rural motor roads were blocked in Nainital district while one State highway and four rural motor roads were reported to be blocked in Haridwar district. While the national highway and bridle path to Kedarnath were open in Rudraprayag district, 35 rural motor roads were reported to be blocked in the district. Similarly, 30 rural motor roads were reported to be blocked in Dehradun district, three rural motor roads were blocked in Bageshwar district, two State highways, one main district road and 28 rural motor roads were blocked in Pauri district. Three rural motor roads were reported to be blocked in Champawat district while one border road and 14 rural motor roads were reported to be blocked in the Pithoragarh district.
