26 K pilgrims throng Ukhimath in winter yatra

Since the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the winter Char Dham Yatra at Omkareshwar Temple at Ukhimath in Rudraprayag district which houses Lord Kedarnath during the six winter months on December 8, nearly 26,000 pilgrims have embarked on the yatra so far.  Informing this, the CEO of Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee Vijay Thapliyal said that the large pilgrim turnout has boosted the local economy, in general, and those associated with the tourism trade, in particular. He expressed gratitude to the CM, saying that his lead had made the State a pilgrimage destination for 12 months of a year.
