27 Covid-19 patients reported in U’khand

After showing a sluggish trend from the last few days, the cases of Covid-19 again witnessed an increase on Wednesday with the state health department of Uttarakhand reporting 27 new patients. Death of no patient was reported in the state on the day. The authorities also declared six patients cured from the disease on the day. The department has so far detected 92,925 new cases of the disease from January 1 this year till date. A total of 89,289 patients have recovered from the disease so far in this year while 275 patients have died in the state since January 1 this year. The recovery percentage of the disease was at 96.09 per cent on Wednesday. The positivity rate of the disease was reported at 1.92 per cent on the day. The health department reported 18 new patients each from Dehradun, three each Haridwar, two from Udham Singh Nagar and one each from Almora, Chamoli and Nainital on Wednesday. No cases were reported from Bageshwar, Champawat, Pauri, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag and Uttarkashi districts on the day.
The number of active patients of Covid-19 in the state was at 83 on Wednesday. Dehradun with 62 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Haridwar has five active cases of the disease. Bageshwar, Champawat, Pithoragarh and Tehri now have no active cases of the disease. In the ongoing vaccination drive 8,439 people were vaccinated in 640 sessions in the state held on Wednesday.
