In latest news from Doon, to transform Uttarakhand into a pollution- free State, the State government is encouraging operation of electric vehicles, replacing the fossil fuel-operated ones. To help this initiative gain further momentum, the State transport department has decided to set up 28 electric charging stations along the char dham yatra routes with the GMVN being made the nodal agency. Sharing this, the RTO Sunil Sharma said that they are encouraging operation of electric buses, both public and private, during the pilgrimage season.
