28 Mazars built on reserved forest land are being identified & demolished

The forest department has remained engaged in anti-encroachment drive in accordance with the order of the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. It is learnt that on the instruction of the DFO, Land Conservation Forest Division, Kalsi, Amresh Kumar, the forest department has remained active in demolishing unauthorised mazar and other illegal structures that came up in the reserve forest area in Kalsi. As per reports received, 28 mazars have so far been demolished with the help of JCBs. The forest department teams have been marking unauthorised structures in Chouharpur, Timli and Langha ranges.
Led by the ranger Mukesh Kumar, the forest department teams have removed 14 mazars in Sahaspur, Horowala, Rudrapur and Ambari beats under Chouharpur range. Similarly, in the Timli range, 12 mazars have been removed from Mazri, Dharmawala, Shahpur, Kalyanpur and Dhaula beats.
It is learnt that 26 unauthorised mazars have so far been dismantled with the help of JCBs in areas under Timli and Chouharpur ranges. Two unauthorised mazars have been removed in the Langha range too. The ranger Mukesh Kumar said that the work of identifying the unauthorised structures in the forest area has been continuing.
DFO, Land Conservation Forest Division, Kalsi, Amresh Kumar said that all the range and beat officers have been given strict instructions to ensure that no unauthorised structure comes up in the reserve forest area in the coming days. He further ordered such structures be demolished immediately after they come up.
