The State Health department reported 29 new cases of the Covid-19 from different parts of the state on Sunday. Death of no patient was reported in the state on the day. The authorities also declared 41 patients cured from the disease on the day. The department has so far detected 93,742 new cases of the disease from January 1 this year till date. A total of 89,825 patients have recovered from the disease so far in this year while 278 patients have died in the state since January 1 this year. The recovery percentage of the disease was at 95.82 per cent on Sunday. The positivity rate of the disease was at 3.81 per cent on the day.
The health department reported 15 new patients each from Dehradun, seven each from Haridwar, four from Udham Singh Nagar and three from Nainital district on Sunday. No new cases were reported from Almora, Bageshwar, Chamoli, Champawat, Pauri, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag, Tehri and Uttarkashi districts on the day.
The number of active patients of Covid-19 was at 311 on Sunday. Dehradun with 191 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Haridwar has 42 and Nainital 32 active cases of the disease. Rudraprayag and Pithoragarh districts have no active cases of the disease now.
In the ongoing vaccination drive 3,571 people were vaccinated in 280 sessions in the state held on Sunday.
