2nd counselling for PhD entrance exam conducted at KU

In latest news from Uttarakhand, the second counselling was conducted under the State level PhD entrance examination in Kumaun University. During this, apart from the preference list, students, included in the waiting list, were also called. Seats were allotted to 48 students who appeared for counselling.
University’s research director Prof Nand Gopal Sahu said that the State level PhD entrance examination had been conducted for the first time in the State. The counselling process has already started for the candidates who passed the examination. The remaining students in the priority order relative to the vacant seats were called for the second counselling. While the students of the waiting list were also invited for counselling. In the second counselling organised for research in the colleges affiliated with both the campuses of KU, 71 candidates included in the priority list of 19 subjects and 64 candidates included in the waiting list were called while 31 candidates of the priority list participated in the counselling. A total of 17 candidates of the waiting list participated in relation to the vacant seats in nine subjects. A total of 48 candidates as well as three teacher category candidates also participated.
