2nd day of IYF focused on pain used for spiritual growth

Following the inauguration of the 37th International Yoga festival at Parmarth Niketan Ashram by the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and the ashram head Swami Chidanand Saraswati, the second day began with an early morning sadhana from 4 AM that included music, raagas, yoga, ayurveda and wellness sessions by presenters. There was a plenary session on the theme ‘Inner Alchemy: transforming Pain into Purpose’ with participation of Sadhvi Bhagawati, Gauranga Das, Brandon Bays and Kia Miller. They emphasised on shifting perspective on suffering pain, using it as a catalyst for growth, resilience and meaningful change.
Sadhvi Bhagawati said that yoga was all about union of the human self with the Divine and through the Divine with all selves. Gauranga Das said that there was a Divine purpose behind the humans suffering pain.
