It takes two months to develop antibodies after second dose of the vaccine
The experts have warned that people who have received the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine should not become complacent and continue to follow the safety protocols against the disease. The health department started injecting the second dose of the vaccine on the health workers in Uttarakhand on Monday.
The director of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh Dr Ravikant categorically stated that even after receiving the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, the risk of Corona may still remain for the next two months. In such a situation, it is very important to adopt all measures to protect against the disease even after the vaccine is administered.
After receiving the second dose of the Covishield, Dr Ravikant said, “Even after the second dose, we should not forget to follow the five rules of protection from Corona. we have to use the mask correctly for the next two months. Apart from this, it is very important to wash hands properly and regularly with soap, maintain a distance and separate yourself from other people in case of any symptom and get an immediate test on the symptoms. It takes two months to develop antibodies after second dose of the vaccine.’’
The Dean Academics, Dr Manoj Gupta said that vaccination is the only way to avoid Covid-19. He said that the vaccine is completely safe and people should refrain from spreading and believing rumours.
