In latest new from Uttarakhand, the second Meru Combinatorics-2024 conference concluded recently at Graphic Era Hill University’s Bhimtal campus. It was held in collaboration with Uttarakhand State Council of Science and Technology, Dehradun; Institute of Mathematical Sciences, Chennai; Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru and Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai. The organisers said that the just-concluded conference was the second edition of the Meru Annual Combinatorics Conference series, a flagship event aimed at promoting combinatorics in India. The scientific advisory committee for the conference comprised Prof Arvind Iyer (IISc Bengaluru), Prof N Narayanan (IIT Chennai), Prof Amritashu Prasad (IMSc Chennai) and Prof S Shimram Krishnan (IIT Mumbai).
The participants present tried to advance the understanding and application of combinatorial mathematics through discussions and presentations, the organisers added.
