2nd ph of vote from home for elderly & differently abled to start on April 10

In latest news from Doon, in view of 12, 892 elderly and physically challenged voters having applied for casting votes from home, the election commission is all set to facilitate their voting from home in two phases-the first on April 5 and 6 and the second for four days from April 10 to 13.
Informing this, the State’s additional chief electoral officer Vijay Kumar Jogdande said that there were over 65,000 octogenarian voters, adding that they had so far received 9,993 applications from elderly people and 2899 from differently abled people. He further said that there are 80, 335 differently abled voters across the 60 assembly constituencies of the State. Aside from facilitating vote from home, the election commission has made all arrangements for helping these voters reach their respective booths to exercise franchise.
