In latest Dehradun news, the State school education minister Dhan Singh Rawat said that under the centrally sponsored PM Shri School Scheme, the online process of identifying schools in the State, eligible for selection, in the second stage has started on August 1 and the schools can apply for selection till August 21. While the district- level selection process will continue till August 31 the State-level selection process will continue till September 5. Thereafter, the lists of the selected schools to be prepared by the Central government will be published till September 15.
Rawat further informed that a list of 232 identified schools in the State under PM Shri School Scheme had been sent to the Centre and the Centre had approved 142 schools among them. Now, the officers concerned have been asked to involve as many schools as possible in the second stage of the selection process. All the district chief education officers and block education officers have been directed to upload the details of the identified schools on the PM Shri portal at the school level. At the same time, the on-site inspection reports of the identified schools should be sent by the district level education officers to the State-level education officers the minister said.
