3-day 17th Agricultural Science Conference concludes at GBPUAT

The three-day 17th Agricultural Science Conference hosted by the Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology (GBPUAT) concluded on Saturday. Among the dignitaries present were the vice-president of National Academy of Agricultural Sciences P K Joshi; renowned agricultural scientist B S Dhillon and former Union Minister and Member of Parliament Ajay Bhatt aside from the vice- chancellor, GBPUAT Manmohan Singh Chauhan.
The VC said that the scientists from 16 countries had participated in the conference. Dhillon in his address stressed on the critical need for convergence between agricultural research and field applications, adding that to really transform the agricultural sector, it is necessary to bridge the gap between research institutes and farmers.
