3-day paragliding accuracy national competition commences in Kedareshwar Maidan, Bageshwar

The three-day paragliding accuracy national competition has started in Bageshwar district under the aegis of Uttarakhand Tourism Development Corporation and the district administration. The inauguration programme was organised at Kedareshwar Maidan  Kakpot. The district panchayat president Basanti Devi and the district magistrate Anuradha Paul declared the competition open.   Basanti Devi in her address said that Kapkot valley is full of natural beauty endowed with a huge scope for adventure tourism. With Pindari, Kafni glacier and Sunderdhunga valley being present here, trekking, rafting and now paragliding is gaining popularity. She said it would strengthen the tourism economy substantially.   The DM Anuradha Paul said that adventure sports would be organised in the coming days here and consequently, tourism employment would increase, benefitting the common people.
