The three- day State level badminton, volleyball and chess competitions involving several schools located across Uttarakhand concluded at Parwati Prema Jagati Saraswati Vihar Senior Secondary School here on Friday. The chief guest of the closing ceremony was the school’s principal Surya Prakash.
Addressing the participating students, he urged them to imbibe sportsman spirit from these sports, adding that sportsman spirit when rightly instilled in children help them rid themselves of jealousy and animosity. He further said that the same spirit was discernible in every section of the State level competitions held here. “This is a healthy trend and should be further encouraged,” he added
The winning schools and players received medals from the dignitaries present after the conclusion of the event.
