In latest news from Dehradun, three persons were killed as the car they were travelling in crashed headlong into a 200-metre- deep gorge near Patan of the Chakrata region in Dehradun district. The car was heading towards Vikasnagar from Chopal in Himachal Pradesh. Upon being informed, a State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) team from Tyuni rushed to the site and retrieved three bodies from the mangled car. The three deceased have been identified as Surjeet Singh (35) who was behind the wheels, Rakesh Kumar (26) and Shyam Singh (48). All the three bodies were handed over to the police, said a member of the SDRF rescue team.
