The state health department reported 32 new patients of Covid-19 in Uttarakhand on Wednesday. No death from the infection was reported by the department on the day in the state. The authorities also declared 18 patients cured from the disease on Wednesday. The department has so far detected 91,898 new cases of the disease from January 1 this year till date. A total of 88,076 patients have recovered from the disease so far in this year while 271 patients have died in the state since January 1 this year. The recovery percentage of the disease was at 95.84 per cent on Wednesday. The positivity rate of the disease was reported at 0.59 per cent on the day. The health department reported 10 new patients from Haridwar, eight each from Dehradun and Nainital, five from Pithoragarh and one from Pauri on Wednesday. No patients were found in the remaining eight districts on the day.
The active case count of Covid-19 in the state is now at 341. Dehradun with 100 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Haridwar has 43 active cases of the disease. Tehri is at the bottom of the table with only one case of the disease. In the ongoing vaccination drive 10,264 people were vaccinated in 624 sessions in the state held on Wednesday.
