33 new Covid cases, 28 recoveries on Saturday in U’khand

The state health department reported 33 new cases of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) and 28 recoveries from the disease in Uttarakhand on Saturday. Death of no patient was reported by the department from the disease on the day.
The cumulative count of Covid-19 patients in the state is now at 3,41,673 while a total of 3,27,692 patients have recovered from the disease so far. In the state 7359 people have lost their lives to Covid -19 till date. The recovery percentage from the disease is now at 95.91 and the sample positivity rate on Saturday was at 0.12 per cent in the state. The authorities collected 26,445 samples in different parts of the state on Saturday.
The state health department reported 11 new patients of Covid 19 in Pithoragarh, eight from Dehradun, four each from Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar, three from Uttarkashi, two from Bageshwar and one from Haridwar on Saturday. No patient was reported from Almora, Chamoli, Champawat, Pauri and Tehri districts on the day.
The state now has 611 active patients of the disease. Dehradun district is at top of the table in the list of active cases with 255 patients while Haridwar in the second position with 65 active cases, Pithoragarh has 59, Nainital 49, Udham Singh Nagar 45, Chamoli 34, Champawat 33, Rudraprayag 21, Uttarkashi 19, Pauri 11, Tehri 10, Bageshwar seven and Almora four active cases of the disease.
The state reported no new case of Mucormycosis (Black fungus) and no death from the disease on Saturday. A total of 549 patients of Black Fungus have been reported till date in the state and out of them 121 have died. The ongoing vaccination drive 25,729 people were vaccinated in 438 sessions held on the day.
