37 new Covid-19 cases in U’khand

The state health department reported 37 new patients of the Covid-19 in Uttarakhand on Friday. No death of any patient was reported by the department on the day. The authorities also declared 54 patients cured on the day. The department has so far detected 91,777 new cases of the disease from January 1 this year till date. A total of 87,912 patients have recovered from the disease so far in this year while 271 patients have died in the state since January 1 this year. The recovery percentage of the disease was at 95.77 per cent on Friday. The positivity rate of the disease was reported at 0.54 per cent on the day.
The health department reported 12 new patients from Dehradun, eight from Pithoragarh and seven from Haridwar district on Friday. Four patients surfaced in Pauri, two patients each at Almora and Chamoli while one patient was detected in Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar districts on the day. No new patients were found in the Bageshwar, Champawat, Nainital, Pauri, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag, Tehri and Uttarkashi districts on Friday.
The active case count of Covid-19 in the state is now at 387. Dehradun with 156 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Haridwar has 57 active cases of the disease. Bageshwar is at the bottom of the table with only one active case of the disease. In the ongoing vaccination drive 7,012 people were vaccinated in 718 sessions in the state held on Friday.
