38 new Covid-19 cases, 56 recoveries reported in U’khand

The state health department reported 38 new cases of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) and 56 recoveries from the disease in Uttarakhand on Saturday. No death from the disease was reported in the state on the day.
The cumulative count of Covid-19 patients in the state is now at 3,42,139 while a total of 3,28,108 patients have recovered from the disease so far. In the state 7362 people have lost their lives to Covid -19 till date. The recovery percentage from the disease is now at 95.90 and the sample positivity rate on Saturday was at 0.15 per cent in the state. The authorities collected 24,860 samples in different parts of the state on the day.
The state health department reported 11 new patients of Covid -19 from Udham Singh Nagar, five each from Almora and Chamoli, four from Pithoragarh, three each Haridwar and Nainital, two each from Pauri and Udham Singh Nagar and one each from Bageshwar and Tehri districts on Saturday. No new cases of the disease were reported from Rudraprayag and Uttarkashi districts on the day.
The state now has 632 active patients of the disease. Dehradun district is at top of the table in the list of active cases with 261 patients while Pithoragarh is in the second position with 78 active cases.
The state reported no new case of Mucormycosis (Black fungus) on Friday. A total of 555 patients of Black Fungus have been reported till date in the state and out of them 124 have died. In the ongoing vaccination drive 81,375 people were vaccinated in 699 sessions held on Saturday in different parts of the state. A total of 44,67,233 beneficiaries have been partially vaccinated in the state while 14,34,381 beneficiaries have received both doses of the vaccine in Uttarakhand.
