38th National Games to commence from Jan 28

The 38th National Games to be hosted by Uttarakhand will be held from January 28, 2025 to February 14, 2025 in the State.
The final decision on the dates of the much awaited sports event in the State was reached in a meeting of chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and the president of Indian Olympic Association ( IOA), P T Usha in New Delhi on Wednesday.
It was also decided that Uttarakhand will also host winter national games.
Expressing gratitude to IOA president, P T Usha, the CM said that it is a matter of great pride that Uttarakhand has been bestowed with an opportunity to host 38th National Games. The CM also invited Usha to visit Badrinath and Kedarnath shrines. He said that the State is ready to host the National Games and the necessary infrastructure for the event has been developed. The CM averred that the National Games will be organized in a grand manner. He assured that best facilities will be provided to the sportspersons visiting the State from all parts of the country for the games. The CM added that the organization of the games will enhance the morale of the sportspersons of the State and provide them a very good platform.
Special principal secretary Amit Sinha and resident commissioner of the State Ajay Mishra accompanied the CM.
Expressing happiness on the announcement of the dates of the National Games, the sports minister Rekha Arya said that all the State is ready for successful holding of the games. She said that the organization of the National Games is a golden opportunity for the players of the State and the games will give a new dimension to the sports infrastructure in the State.
