391 new ANMs set to join health services

The Health department will soon get 391 new Auxiliary Nurse and Midwife (ANM) personnel. The Uttarakhand Medical Services Selection Board (UMSSB) released the calendar of the verification of the documents of the selected ANMs on Monday. The new appointments will be made on the basis of year wise seniority.
The Health minister Dhan Singh Rawat said that the health services are being strengthened in the State and for this the appointments on all the vacant posts are being made. He said that the MSSSB has completed all the formalities for the appointment of ANMs and soon the department will get the services of the 391 ANMs. He said that the board will conduct the process of verification of documents from September 18 to September 30. The minister said that the documents of the applicants will be thoroughly examined by the board. He said that the selected ANMs will be deputed in different medical units in the districts. The minister expressed hope that the health services will get strengthened by new appointments. The process of vaccination of pregnant women and children will get a push by the appointment of new ANMs in the department.
