In latest news from Uttarakhand, the third group of Adi Kailash Yatra pilgrims reached the Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam (KMVN)-run guest house in Pithoragarh. They were welcomed traditionally by a KMVN team led by a senior officer Dinesh Gururani. On Gururani’s initiative, each pilgrim planted a sapling in the complex of an ancient Shiva temple in Paleta.
Plus, Gururani administered Save Himalaya oath to the pilgrims and saplings were given to them to be planted in Kala Pani, Nabhidhang and Joligkoug nested in the higher Himalayan region. The pilgrims-three women and two men- said while appreciating the officer’s initiative that they would plant saplings in their homes.
