4-day ARC 2024 concludes at UPES

The fifth edition of the Aspire Retreat and Convocation (ARC) 2024, the biennial event of Aspire Circle- India’s Fellowship of social and environment impact leaders- concluded recently at UPES. UPES office bearers said that the four-day event had featured a diverse array of sessions, including debates and panels on contemporary topics such as the need for greater investments for climate-related initiatives in India. The noted environmentalist and Padma Bhushan recipient, Anil P Joshi delivered the keynote address titled ‘The Climate Imperative’, emphasising rural rejuvenation with focus on forests and water. The former vice chairman and CEO of Tata Motors Ravi Kant led a workshop on leadership while a talk on leadership in the non-profit sector was delivered by Magsaysay awardee founder and director of Goonj Anshu Gupta. The vice chancellor, UPES Ram Sharma said that a centre of impact is being envisioned at UPES in collaboration with Aspire Circle, further solidifying the university’s commitment to fostering social leadership and initiatives.

ARC2024 saw the presence of over 100 Aspire Circle Fellows in the domain of social responsibility, includingCEO, Rajiv Gandhi Foundation Vijay MahajanCOO Tata Trusts Aparna Uppaluri and global chief responsibility officer, Capgemini, Shobha Meera.
