The four-day programme commemorating the International Women’s Day jointly organised by Shri Venkateshwara University and Shri Venkateshwara Institute of Medical Sciences and Multispeciality Hospital concluded on Monday.
The organisers said that in all, 132 women from western Uttar Pradesh who have left their marks in multiple fields like education, health, medical science, sports, police, administration and social service were felicitated during the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, the chairman of Venkateshwara Group Sudhir Giri said that a woman elevated to the post of the President encapsulated the ascendency of the women power in the country. The pro- chancellor of Shri Venkateshwara University Rajeen Tyagi said in his address that thanks to the women empowerment schemes rolled out by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a galaxy of accomplished women is now adorning responsible posts in myriad spheres of life.
