4, including 2 women, held for drug smuggling

In latest news from Uttarakhand, four drug peddlers, two of them women, were arrested from two places in Nainital district. While Special Operations Group (SOG), Lakuan, held a man who was travelling in an Uttar Pradesh roadways bus and seized from him about 200 drug injections, the Kotwali, Haldwani arrested three persons, including two women, and seized smacks from them.
The man who was arrested from Lalkuan-identified as Md Akram Hussain- told police during interrogation that he had bought the drug injections from one Rehan, resident of Bareli, Uttar Pradesh. A case was filed against him in the Kotwali police station Lalkuan under relevant section of NDPS Act.
Those arrested from Haldwani were identified as Monisha (24), Sargam (28) and Santri (35). Police said that 6.50 gram smack was impounded from the trio.
