In latest news from Uttarakhand, in another tragic road mishap, four persons were killed and four others were injured when the vehicle they were in veered off the road and plunged into a 200 m deep gorge in Ancholi village in Pithoragarh district. Eight people were returning home from a wedding ceremony in the ill-fated vehicle. Upon receiving the news of the mishap, local police and SDRF teams rushed to the spot. However, before they reached, the locals pulled up the injured and rushed them to a nearby hospital. SDRF team assisted by police and locals retrieved the bodies and these were handed over to district police for post-mortem.
