4 labourers buried alive in landslides near Phata helipad

In latest news from Uttarakhand, four labourers of Nepalese origin were buried alive following heavy rain-triggered landslides at Khat Gadera village close to the Phata helipad in Rudraprayag district. A SDRF team rushed to the spot braving heavy late night rain and tried to rescue the quartet buried under the huge pile of debris. However, they were found dead when pulled out.

Sharing details, the Rudraprayag disaster management officer Nandan Singh Rajwar said that the fatal landslides had occurred around 1.20 am and debris crashed down upon the four labourers who were sleeping.
