In latest news from Uttarakhand, a car with five members of a family from Pauri- heading towards Gauchar to attend a wedding- on board went off the Devprayag-Srinagar highway at Mulya Gaon near Devprayag and plunged into Alakananda river near Devaprayag. As per the members of the rescue team, while one woman was rescued four others were missing. The woman was rushed to a nearby hospital.
On receiving information, SDRF team and Devprayag police team reached the spot and launched the rescue operation. A senior SDRF officer Kavindra Sajwan said that all-out efforts were being made to find the four missing.
