4 new KVs for Uttarakhand, CM thanks PM Modi

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the union cabinet for giving approval to open four new Kendriya Vidyalayas (KV) in Uttarakhand. He said that the Union cabinet has approved 85 new KVs in the country.

These schools will be constructed with an estimated budget of Rs 5872.08 crores and these will provide quality education to 82,560 students and jobs to 5,388 people. Every new school will have a capacity of 960 students.

The CM said that the initiative of the union cabinet will set a new dimension of quality education in remote areas of the country.

In Uttarakhand the KVs would be opened at Narendra Nagar and Madan Negi towns of Tehri district, Kotdwar of Pauri district and Dwarahat of Almora district. There are 47 KVs in Uttarakhand at present. After the approval of the union cabinet for opening four new schools, the State will have 51 KVs.
