After reporting 102 new cases of Covid-19 in the last two days the State Health department reported 40 new patients of the disease on Friday.
Death of no patient was reported in the state on the day. The authorities also declared 40 patients cured from the disease on the day. The department has so far detected 93,355 new cases of the disease from January 1 this year till date. A total of 89,582 patients have recovered from the disease so far in this year while 277 patients have died in the state since January 1 this year. The recovery percentage of the disease was at 95.96 per cent on Friday. The positivity rate of the disease further increased to 3.83 per cent on the day.
The health department reported 25 new patients each from Dehradun, six from Haridwar, two each from Nainital, Pauri and Tehri and one each from Chamoli, Udham Singh Nagar and Uttarkashi on Friday. No cases were reported from Almora, Bageshwar, Champawat, Pithoragarh and Rudraprayag districts on the day. The number of active patients of Covid-19 in the state is now at 183. Dehradun with 123 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Haridwar has 16 active cases. Bageshwar, Champawat and Rudraprayag have no active cases of the disease. In the ongoing vaccination drive 6440 people were vaccinated in 830 sessions in the state held on Friday.
