438 students receive degrees at IIM Kashipur’s 11th convocation

Indian Institute of Management, Kashipur organised its 11th convocation on Monday during which 438 students received degrees under various programmes.
The senior office bearers of the institute said that while 232 received MBA degrees 87 received MBA Analytics degrees; 83, EMBAA degrees and 21, Executive MBA degrees. This aside, 15 scholars from the Doctoral Programmes were also awarded degrees.
Addressing the gathering, chairman of IIM Kashipur Sandeep Singh highlighted 69 per cent female representation in MBA analytics, stating that it signifies the changing landscape of education. He also spoke about the institute’s commitment to excellence and inclusivity as well as its pride in supporting economically and socially unprivileged students.
The chief executive officer of KPMG India Yezdi Nagporewalla awarded medals to 10 students for their performance in their respective courses. Later, addressing the students, he noted the significant increase in the number of female students across all programmes at IIM Kashipur, adding that the number of female students in the 2021-23 batches has increased from 11 per cent to 30 per cent. The growing interest of female students in MBA Analytics should be taken note of, he added.
