44 new Covid-19 cases reported in U’khand

The State Health department reported 44 new cases of the Covid-19 on Thursday from different parts of the state. Death of no patient was reported in the state on the day. The authorities also declared 42 patients cured from the disease on the day. The department has so far detected 93,619 new cases of the disease from January 1 this year till date. A total of 89,698 patients have recovered from the disease so far in this year while 278 patients have died in the state since January 1 this year. The recovery percentage of the disease was at 95.81 per cent on Tuesday. The positivity rate of the disease was at 2.81 per cent on the day.
The health department reported 26 new patients each from Dehradun, eight from Haridwar, five from Nainital and one each from Chamoli, Champawat, Tehri, Udham Singh Nagar and Uttarkashi districts on Thursday.
No new cases were reported from Almora, Bageshwar, Pauri Pithoragarh and Rudraprayag districts on the day.
The number of active patients of Covid-19 in the state increased to 316 on Thursday. Dehradun with 177 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Nainital and Haridwar have 29 and 25 active cases respectively.
Rudraprayag is the only district which has no active cases of the disease now. In the ongoing vaccination drive 7,846 people were vaccinated in 772 sessions in the state held on Thursday.
