44 roads blocked in various parts of State

A total of 44 roads are blocked due to debris and other factors in various parts of the State. According to the information provided by the State Emergency Operation Centre (SEOC) on Monday evening, the Rishikesh-Yamunotri national highway 94, Rishikesh-Gangotri national highway 108, Vikasnagar-Badkot national highway 123, Janakichatti-Yamunotri bridle path and Gangotri-Gaumukh bridle path are open in Uttarkashi district though two rural motor roads are blocked.
In Chamoli district the Rishikesh-Badrinath national highway 58 is open though 16 rural motor roads are blocked. Similarly, all national highways and state highways are open in Almora though one rural motor road is blocked. Four rural motor roads are blocked in Dehradun district. In Champawat district the Tanakpur- Champawat-Ghat national highway 9 along with all other national highways and state highways are open for traffic.
The Rishikesh-Kedarnath national highway 107, Gaurikund-Kedarnath bridle path along with all other national highways and state highways are open in Rudraprayag district though two rural motor roads are blocked in the district. All national highways and state highways are open in Nainital district while in Pauri district one rural motor road is blocked. Further, five rural motor roads are blocked in the Tehri district while all national highways and state highways are open in Haridwar district.
Five rural motor roads are blocked in Bageshwar district while eight rural motor roads are blocked in the Pithoragarh district. Attempts are underway to reopen all the blocked roads.
