45th raising day of Mechanised Infantry Regiment celebrated in Doon

The 45th raising day of the Mechanised Infantry Regiment was celebrated with enthusiasm in Dehradun on Tuesday.
The MIORA Uttarakhand chapter veterans and ladies celebrated the occasion marked by bonhomie.
With the first infantry battalion of the Indian army being equipped with armoured personnel carriers in 1969-70, it is now in the third decade of the 21st century that this arm has been sanctioned an Additional Directorate General in the Army Headquarters, achieved institutionalising of the School of Mechanised Warfare, and is now in the process of being feverishly re-equipped with modern technology weapons and equipment. The event was attended by GOC of Uttarakhand sub area, ADG of National Cadet Corps in Uttarakhand, MIORA Uttarakhand chapter president, secretary and other officers and ladies of the Mechanised Infantry Regiment.
