48 new posts of ANM, MPW created in Health Dept

Twenty four new posts each of Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery (ANM) and Multi-Purpose Workers (MPW) will be created in the Medical Health and Family Welfare department.  Health minister Dhan Singh Rawat has given his approval to create these new posts. All these posts will be filled with outsourcing agencies. 

Rawat said that the State government is committed to strengthening and expanding the health services in Uttarakhand so that better health facilities are available to the general public. He said that keeping this in view 23 posts each of ANMs and MPWs have been created for the health sub centres in different parts of the State. Apart from these, one post each of ANM and MPW have been created for setting up a health sub centre at Kanseru village of Naugaon block in Uttarkashi. The appointment on these posts will soon be made.

Rawat said that the measure will not only help in providing better and quality health services at primary level but will also help in improving immunisation programmes and better care of pregnant women, mother and newborn babies.
