5-day gender sensitisation programme concludes at GBPUAT

The valedictory function of the five-day Collaborative Online Training Programme on Gender Sensitisation and Women-Led Extension- jointly organised by the Department of Agricultural Communication, Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology (GBPUAT) Pantnagar, and MANAGE, Hyderabad- was held on the iEcho online platform. The program highlighted the importance of gender inclusivity in agriculture and promoting women-led extension models. Among those present was the dean, College of Agriculture, GBPUAT, Pantnagar S K Kashyap; deputy director (Gender Studies), MANAGE, Hyderabad Veenita Kumari and head, Department of Agricultural Communication, GBPUAT, Pantnagar V L V Kameswari. They, in their addresses, said that the five-day programme would help the society confront the critical gender-related challenges in agriculture.
The programme witnessed participation of 62 scientists and professionals from various universities and institutions across the country.
