In latest news from Doon, district magistrates from five districts of Uttarakhand-Dehradun, Chamoli, Pauri, Haridwar and Uttarkashi- turned up at the office of the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) on the latter’s summon.  The commission is unhappy with the mapping of all madrassas located across the State as ordered remaining undone.   The chairman NCPCR Priyank Kanungo said that the other DMs from the State would turn up at the commission’s office on June 10.

Notably, during inspection of some madrassas in Uttarakhand,  the commission had found non-Muslim students from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar being taught in them. He had ordered thorough inquiry into the matter and sought reports on the student profiles of these madrassas.
