5 from Nainital to take part in national judo comp

In latest news from Uttarakhand, five sub-junior level judo players from Nainital district, four of them students of Child Sacred Senior Secondary School at Bindhukhatta, who were selected during the State-level sub-junior judo competition, are all set to participate in the national sub-junior judo competition scheduled to be held in Kochi in Kerala from December 15. Notably, a sub-junior State-level judo competition was held in Dehradun recently in which 25 boys and girls from Nainital took part. Sharing details, the general secretary of the Nainital Judo Association Dinesh Kumar said that the sub- junior level judo competition being organised by the National Judo Association would be held from December 15 to 18 in Kochi in which Aman Kumar (50 kg in boy category, Bhumi Mehara (32 kg in girl category, Arushi Pandey (40 kg in girl category), Bhavna Joshi (44 kg in girl category) and Mansi (52 kg in girl category) are going to participate. He further said that a 12-day camp would be held for these participants at Moradabad and thereafter they will leave for Kochi. Meanwhile, several eminent persons, including the Union minister Ajay Bhatt and MLA Mohan Singh Bisht, congratulated the five children on their selection to compete in the national level judo competition.
