51 new Covid cases, 24 recoveries in U’khand on Sunday

The state health department reported 51 new cases of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) and 24 recoveries from the disease in Uttarakhand on Sunday. Death of no patient was reported by the department from the disease on the day.
The cumulative count of Covid-19 patients in the state is now at 3,41,724 while a total of 3,27,716 patients have recovered from the disease so far. In the state 7359 people have lost their lives to Covid -19 till date. The recovery percentage from the disease is now at 95.90 and the sample positivity rate on Sunday was at 0.21 per cent in the state. The authorities collected 22,021 samples in different parts of the state on Sunday.
The state health department reported nine new patients of Covid 19 each from Dehradun and Nainital, seven from Udham Singh Nagar, four from Rudraprayag, three from Haridwar, two each from Uttarkashi and Tehri and one each from Almora, Bageshwar, Chamoli and Champawat districts on Sunday. The state now has 637 active patients of the disease. Dehradun district is at top of the table in the list of active cases with 254 patients while Pithoragarh is in the second position with 68 active cases.
The state reported two new cases of Mucormycosis (Black fungus) and death of two patients from the disease on Sunday. A total of 561 patients of Black Fungus have been reported till date in the state and out of them 123 have died.
