60 new Covid cases found in U’khand

The State Health department reported 60 new cases of the Covid-19 from different parts of the state on Tuesday. Death of no patient was reported in the state on the day.  The authorities also declared 14 patients cured from the disease on the day.  The department has so far detected 93,834 new cases of the disease from January 1 this year till date. A total of 89,910 patients have recovered from the disease so far in this year while 278 patients have died in the state since January 1 this year. The recovery percentage of the disease was at 95.82 per cent on Tuesday. The positivity rate of the disease was at 3.94 per cent on the day.  

 The health department reported 37 new patients from Dehradun, nine from Nainital, eight from Haridwar, two from Tehri and one each from Pauri, Pithoragarh, Udham Singh Nagar and Uttarkashi on Tuesday.  No new cases were reported from Almora, Bageshwar, Chamoli, Champawat and Rudraprayag districts on the day. 

The number of active patients of Covid-19 was at 314 on Tuesday. Dehradun with 201 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Haridwar has 42 and Nainital 36 active cases of the disease. Almora, Rudraprayag and Pithoragarh districts have no active cases of the disease now.

 In the ongoing vaccination drive 10,170 people were vaccinated in 845 sessions in the state held on Tuesday.
