62nd Shastra Competition to start on March 18

The 62nd All India Shastra Competition will be organised from March18 to 21 under the joint aegis of Central Sanskrit University, New Delhi and Patanjali University, Haridwar. A meeting was held to review preparations chaired by the dean of Patanjali University and head of the department of Humanities and Oriental Studies, Sadhvi Devpriya.
She, in her address, said that the Shastra competition is meant to preserve and promote the Indian knowledge tradition. “Our main objective is to promote the classical study and discussion of Sanskrit. This event will not only provide an intellectual platform for scholars and researchers, but strengthen our cultural heritage,” she added.
