National Health Mission Uttarakhand continues to adopt new methods to make the people aware about health. In this sequence, NHM is now hosting a cricket league christened as Uttarakhand Health Premier League which, inaugurated by the Stare health minister Dhan Singh Rawat, has commenced. Notably, the matches under this league are being played among eight teams representing government departments. The week-long league being organised in Maharana Pratap Sports College will end on October 20.
To raise health awareness, NHM, Uttarakhand identified eight themes which were given eight different health-related themes. The eight departments are: NHM Uttarakhand, SIDCUL, Income Tax Department, Food Department, UPCL, Postal Department, PWD and Health Department (CMO, Dehradun).
Rawat in his address said that this was the first ever Health Premier League organised by the Health department.
