In latest news from Uttarakhand, in a late night ghastly road accident, at least seven people, including five women and a child, were killed and 26 were injured when the bus they were travelling in crashed into an abyss in the Mangoli Ghatgar area of Nainital district. There were 33 passengers on board the ill-fated bus that was returning to Haryana from Nainital. A district police team led by Nainital senior superintendent of police Prahlad Meena and the superintendent of police Harbans Singh along with State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) team rushed to the accident site on receiving the information. Sharing details, an SDRF official said that they had retrieved seven bodies and rescued the injured from the mangled bus while those injured were rushed to hospital. The deceased have been identified as Pushpa, Sangeeta, Jyoyi, Punam, Ravindra, Manmeet (child) and the driver Rameshwar.
