The 127th Course of the Army Cadet College (ACC) Wing, a total of 73 cadets completed their three-year academic and military training and received their graduation degrees on Saturday. The convocation was held at the Chetwode Hall of the Indian Military Academy (IMA).
Among these, 32 cadets belonged to the Science stream and 42 cadets to the Humanities stream. The ceremony was attended by parents, instructors, military officers and guests. IMA commandant lieutenant general Nagendra Singh awarded bachelor’s degrees from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, to the graduating cadets.
After completing their training at ACC, the cadets will join the Indian Military Academy in July 2026 for pre-commissioning training before becoming officers in the Indian Army. Addressing the cadets, Singh congratulated them on achieving an important milestone in their careers. He said that character, discipline, courage, motivation, a positive attitude and professional competence are the key qualities of a successful army officer.
During the ceremony, wing cadet captain Naveen received the Chief of Army Staff gold medal. Company cadet captain Avnish Kumar Mishra was awarded the silver medal, while wing cadet quartermaster Harshraj received the bronze medal.
Nubra company was awarded the Commandant’s Banner for emerging as the champion company of the ACC. The award recognises excellence in sports, academics, military training, debates and other activities.
