As the facilities at the Government B D Pandey District Hospital have increased, the number of patients seeking surgery here has also gone up. The hospital sources said that the surgeons have operated on 734 patients in the past six months from January to June. Patients with Ayushman cards do not have to pay any fee for surgery at this health facility.
The PMS, Dr Tarun Kumar Tamta said that efforts are on to provide better treatment to every patient coming to the hospital, adding that 100 per cent of the surgeries conducted in the hospital in the last six months have been successful. “Now operations will resume through telescope method”, he further informed.
