To improve the business of homestay operators and increase their income, a nine-day homestay training is being provided in two phases to the homestay operators from various villages under Chamba block of Tehri district by Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board.
The district tourism and development officer, S S Rana said that the training is being imparted in two phases from April 16 to 24. “The training is about homestay marketing, social media promotion, operation, solid waste management, hospitality and housekeeping among others,” he said, adding that 14 homestay operators, mostly women, from several villages, including Tiwargaon, Jakh, Nagni, Bagi and Arakot of Chamba block, participated in the training on the first day.
